I am influenced by early botanical artists from the naturalists to the romantics. ‘Although resembling real life subjects, my pieces also offer a warped, dramatic version of reality. Flowers, stems, leaves and insects remind us of constant change, connection and movement’.
My artworks are a hybrid that blend traditional painting with digital techniques. I use digital techniques to deconstruct and manipulate my reference image before I begin the process of painting or drawing.
